Just had a call, it has been accepted with a £79 increase each month which isn't too major!
List of creditors who voted yes:
Halifax - Yes - owed £10k
MBNA - Yes - owed £2k (I think that must have been Abbey?)
Virgin - Yes - owed £4k (I have to say Virgin have been brilliant througout the whole thing, once they were informed I was in the process of applying for an IVA I got a nice letter off them saying if they could help to contact them and that is all I had. It was nice not to get any nasty calls or letters).
Creditors who didn't vote:
Lloyds TSB(surprising as they had the most of my debt - £24k
Barclays - again surprising as they give me 3 calls every day - £4k
I am actually in shock and can't believe I am now legally protected from the creditors!
My repayment each month is £418 and I think it is about 52p in the pound with the modification.
Thank you all for the support and advice you have given me - I really don't know what I would have done without this board.
I will definitely be sticking around and supporting others.

That's great news Poppy - just be absolutely sure you can afford those payments. Sometimes it can be better to sleep on it just to get things straight in your own mind.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Melanie, I did panic a bit with the increase and have just worked it out. I can just about afford the increase. It will be tight for the next five years but in the long term the amount of interest and debt wiped off will be worth it. I know it isn't going to be easy but this is a second chance to get my life back on track.

I have to say Poppy I did think the monthly amount was high but let's see how you get on with it!
Would be worth monitoring this so that we can learn from it if you are happy to do so.

Ray

Yes, I will keep you all updated on how I get on.
It is high, but £400 less than I was having to pay out on minimum repayments until now.

Brilliant Poppy. I do hope this trend continues, as our creditors meeting should be happening in the next month.
