Hi and welcome.

Yes, you can still insure your pets - I have three dogs and they are all insured.

thanks for quick reply so the creditors can,t stop you insureing your pets? is that right as I told payplan who were going with about the insurance x 3 and on the income/expenditure its not actually on it as pet insurance but they have put on smart clothing, haircuts etc,
I have sent copies of bank statements with the insurances going out but once iva is hopefully set up will it still be ok, will the ip not question the pet insurance?
many thanks for your help

They will usually allow this although there may be a ceiling and you would be expected to fund anything extra from other allowances.

I am with Payplan and have had no problem.

I had two dogs at outset and got a third last year but have been able to fund the insurance thankfully!! I don't claim for the third but am able to save some money to pay for this - well she is only little and young so it doesn't cost too much!!

The maximum allowance for pet related expenditure is £23 per month and that has to include food as well. I think most of us would eat less ourselves to ensure that our furry friends were appropriately covered.

We fund the dog food from our household expenses so we can cover the insurance. Thankfully they are not fussy eaters!!!
