It has been a long day, waiting for the out come of creditors meeting scheduled at 3:30 p.m.,as the minutes passed I was getting really anxious and very concerned.

Phone rang almost an hour later and it was such a relief to be informed by one of my contacts at GRANT THORNTON that my proposal has been accepted with modifications.

It is such a relief after a few hellish months.

The staff at Grant Thornton have been superb for the past few months.Especially Dawn Shelly my original contact recommended by CAB.She has always been a soothing, comforting and reassuring voice.

I have a judgement for claimant in favour of American express, after determination, asking me the full amount of almost 13700 by 27th of july. I have replied asking it to be redetermined at a local court(this was before the meeting of creditors). Now as the IVA has gone through, what would be the course of judgement? Will I stiil have to attend a hearing or as I understand it is covered by IVA.

It is going to be a few days before the Chairmans report is to hand.Do I wait untill then to inform the court or do I write another letter informing them of IVA acceptance.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hara.

Your IP will deal with this creditor from now on, so make sure that you send them all of the paperwork you have received.

Well done on the outcome. I know Dawn and she is a very efficient lady. Nice to see her getting some exposure on the forum.
