Well my creditors meeting is all set for the 26th, and the creditors havent stopped this week at all, Four calls and Three letters from MBNA, Five calls from Barclaycard, Default notice from Barclays Bank asking for 20k in 7 Days. Best of all AA financial services have called today and stated that they dont believe in the IVA soultion as a company !!!!! and i should be ashamed of myself that i am in this position maybe its the last attempts before the meeting on the 26th dont fell confident at all at moment the AA call was the final straw turned the phone off.
Is it just me or is this the norm at this stage????

Hi Todd of all my creditors AA were the worst they called me 14 times in one day. On the day of the meeting they didnt even vote. Take no notice just wait till the 26th, itss all par for the course, leave the phone off and dont let it get to you.

Hi todd71,
If you went as long as I did ( nearly 6 months ) they give up trying to ring you in the end! Just answer the calls, be polite and give them the date of the creditors meeting. If they continue to harass you by telephone then quote them Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act. If they get shirty demand to speak to a supervisor and quote the same again. By that time they will most likely to have hung up and moved on to the next poor sod or gone home.
Good luck for the 26th

Hi Todd,
They should be ashamed if it wasn't for the amount of interest charged on Credit Cards.
Everyone get's a bit worried before the meeting but Don't.
Put your phone back on tell them when the meeting is, say thank you then hang up.
Never a final straw in this game.

Thank You all for your support and yes Andy that is what AA said to me on Sunday just gone even though i have wrote them four letters to explain my circumstances and IP has avised them of the meeting on the 26th. I wouldnt mind i have never missed a payment with with them and only one month in arrears at present but they do want £509.00 per month at moment.
God knows what will happen on the 26th

As I said above AA were the only creditor to be awful on the phone. They phoned and put the phone down mid conversation , told us we would be charged £10 every time they rang unless we made a payment, Phoned 14 times in one day and we answered every call, we were never rude but after that they reduced me to tears and then I went on the attack. I rang their customer services and told her it harassment , the lady was very nice there and said she couldnt believe that they had done that and gave me the number to call the dept that was ringing me all the time. So I decided every time they rang me I would ring back and complain, very quickly they put hold on the calls and I never heard from them again, and they didnt vote at the meeting.
They are a very aggressive caller and I dont think bother to log the calls you answer, but take heart Todd it wont be forever.

todd this is normal i had loads they will try and say al sorts to you just to get a payment, don't pay anything just refer them to your ip, i know it is all horrible, i had halifax sending automated calls on the hour every hour wouldn't mind they were my lowest debt, some will tell you that your iva won't be accepted unless you make the token payment, just be firm and polite tell them you are awaiting your creditors meeting for the iva and give them your ip's name and address and tell them to deal with them, they will say they can't speak to a third party but take no notice as you have given authority for your ip to act on your behalf good luck and hang in there.

Barclaycard phoned me on a regular basis, had the letter saying that they were aware of the situation and keep them informed, still phoned though. Now they've sold my debt on to mercers and after having the same conversation 3 times in one day, the next call after confirming who they were just said creditors meeting date and no I wasn't making a payment. No more calls yet! A did start losing it at one point when they said I'd have to make a payment because my IVA could fail( apparently I need 100% vote according to them), said I'd go bankrupt if it did, to which they replied they'd send local debt collectots to pay me a visit. Had to put the phone down.... would have said something very rude.
