This happend a couple of months ago now but I just had to share this with you all.
Had my IVA approved back in April, only for the IP to call a few weeks later to say;
"Nothing to worry about, but, your paper work was sent to the wrong court and the time limit to get the paper work to the correct court has lapsed, therfore we need to arrange for another creditors meeting as the first is no longer valid"
My heart sank and jaw hit the floor at the same time! I couldn't believe it. We were basically back to square one, with the possibility of having the IVA rejected.
So, I'm probably in a very small minority of people who have gone through this process twice. Not a nice club to be in. I can not begin to explain the feeling of being on such a high and then for someone to say sorry, we messed up, you've got to do it all again.
Anyway, it all turned out fine in the end, well better actually, as I was £50 better off from the first meeting.
Also, great site, although I didn't post pre IVA approval, it was such a great place to visit in my time of trouble. Thank you site and posters. Keep up all your good work.
About to make my third payment!

Thank you Skint, tori & Viki. My nails are fine but you should see my hair! It was very scary on the day of the second creditors meeting as some of the creditors didn't vote because they thought they had already, the IP had to chase one down to get me past the 75% line. Also had numerous calls from creditors saying we understand your IVA was rejected..blah de blah. Arghhh.
Although it was funny taking a call from (I think Mercers) saying how awful I had been treated... how Ironic.
Another Ironic thing that happend that I wanted to post was when I handed in my signed proposal to creditors at the post office, I was asked if I was interested in one of their credit cards... they had a great deal apparantly!

I'm glad it worked out for you Mr Happy, it's bad enough going through it all once, let alone twice!
Good luck with your IVA

Hi Peeps and peepettes,
I'm actually in Mr Happy's situation myself and had some great advice from Ian Millington (anyone seen him lately BTW?). Thing is its now August and the IVA register is STILL showing the wrong bank although my IP assures me everything is fine. When I came across this thread the collywobbles started again and I've emailed my IP yet again about it. I'd hate to have this overturned on a technicality so far down the line.
If it is overturned what happens to the payments already made???

Ray, that's not a nice situation to be in.
I would deffo get in touch with your ip again. I don't know whether or not the register can be amended.
Did you have to have a second meeting as well?
Can't help you about the payments though.

Ray - I'm unsure as to what you mean by the Register showing the wrong bank?

Oh Ray, as Kallis has said, get in touch with your IP, I'm sure everything is ok. Try not to worry until you really have to. X
p.s. Ian is on IVA.co.uk TV, he did an interview with Andy, it's great.

Hi Melanie
The bank my case was heard in was Kingston upon Hull but the Insolvency Register is showing the case was heard in Bancroft in Oxfordshire. As I said, my IP said all is fine but yer got to wonder haven't you?

Did you mean court Ray, rather than bank?

Ray, do you mean Court not bank?
When my hubby's IVA was approved we were actually sent the chairmans report for someone else. Listed all their debts etc... we were told to "bin it" ! Made me ask who had our report...they couldn't answer! We eventually got the correct report. I guess you have to allow for human error.

It's a bit bad that you got someone elses report and vice versa. You don't know who might have seen it!
