Hi all,

I have recently got engaged and myself and my fiance was wondering what happens re monetary wedding gifts? We are hoping to get Married next year (parents will be paying!!![:D]) and as i am just going through my first annaul review, i will still be in the IVA, and was wondering if anyone had the same experience?? If we are lucky enough to receive any money as wedding gifts, does this count as a windfall??

Thanks in advance

Make sure you put a wedding list together of the things you need.

Hi there sam.
It would think it will be treated just the same as if it wer a birthday present, yours to keep, but if you are worried ask for vouchers for places you like to shop. Congrats from me.

They are gifts and therefore do not come under the windfalls category.
