Just to let everyone know we just found out that our scottish trust deeds(mine and wifes) had no creditors objections so it now becomes protected(meaning that all creditors are bound by its terms) so here goes for a 42 month journey to debt freedom, its gonna be bumpy but a lot less bumpy than it was becomming trying to juggle money around from one credit card to another.

Lloydstsb voted yes as did Mint(RBS) and Egg didnt bother so tough luck on them, they are bound by its terms.

Hallelujah!!!

Why are you doing 42 months as a matter of interest! And congratulations on the result.

The extra 6 months were purely to offer a better return. The amount of debt was over 70k and we are paying just 400 a month. Bargain if you ask me,and thank goodness it got protected.

We were very surprised that it got approved given that the dividend appears low compared to many IVA's I have read about on here, although if our trust deed was extended by 18 months(to the length of most IVA's)the dividend fairly shoots up.

Thanks for all the messages, they are most appreciated.

I am so glad that I found this forum,I use the net a lot and this site is without doubt the best thing I have ever found on the net.
The people running it and YOU the posters deserve a great deal of credit, and a big pat on the back.

I am sure there will be tears and joy throughout the next 3 1/2 years and I am glad that I can share it all with you,my new friends.

Paul.
