Hi all, I'm new to this site and have a proposal with DFD. Have read some really negative things about them but can only give good reports myself. I'm very nervous about my creditors meeting on the 8th July, have booked day off work. Proposal is 38p/£ which I feel is fair. Any tips for the 8th?
Thanks
Ben

Just to stay calm Ben, the best proposal will have been put forward and if there are modifications don't just say yes, take time to think about these and how they will impact on your life.
As for the negativity you read, that is one persons views and so long as you are happy with your chosen IP, I would relax and let them do their job.
All the best for the 8th and don't forget to let us know how you get on and keep posting.

Thanks for your support Lesley. Isn't this a friendly site? Its so refreshing to meet people in the same circumstances. The horrible thing about debt is that it can be so isolating. Thankfully, work have been very supportive so I am staying positive.

Good to hear you're staying positive, debt can be isolating I agree but when you find this forum, you find that you're not the only person in your situation. I went around for years thinking there was nobody like me, but I found this forum and ith as helped me regain some rationality.
The site is so friendly and non-judgemental that I'm sure is what makes it such a success.
Keep posting and you'll get all the advice you need from people in the same situation as yourself or from an expert if a more precise reply is required.
You'll even become addicted and make friends like we all have x

Thanks everyone. What a relief it must have been not just for Lesley but for all of you to find others that understood exactly what you were going through. I feel under extra pressure because my job means I cannot go bankrupt and therefore see an IVA as my only option. DMP would literally go on for ever and I'm only 21!!!
I'm very interested in this frugal friends group because my mother is a coupon addict and finds offers and discounts everywhere! Whens the next one in the midlands/birmingham?
Once again, thanks to everyone.
Ben x

They had one in Birmingham in March. I didn't go to that one as I didn't join till afterwards.
I think they are on about having one every couple of months in different parts of the country.
I shall be going to the one in the Midlands as well.
