I am getting our papers ready for file for bankruptcy. We are slightly closer to Exeter County Court, compared to Tauton County Court, but I know people who work at Exeter, so I would rather do it at Taunton if I can. (Both do BR). On the form, it seems to say something about applying to the nearest court. Could anyone clarify for me?

Thanks.

You need to go to the court that has jurisdiction over the area you have lived in for the majority of the previous 6 months. Unfortunately you can't choose which court, you will need to contact them to find out which one to go to.

I was worried as I used to work for the magistrates' court next to my local county court but when I phoned them up they don't actually deal with BR so I had nothing to worry about!
