Hi all, i have just found out about this site and this is my first post.
My meeting was yesterday at 11:00am, i was expecting the call all day long but it never came!
In the end i called my IP but ended up leaving a message as there was no answer, i feel like ive been dumped and my IVA being rejected, also the IP cant be bothered to call me and will send me the bad news in a letter, just as they do when i have been turned down for credit in the past, i feel so depressed [:(]
Has anywon else not heard on the day of the meeting?
Thanks.

Hi Baycity
Another who cannot sleep and understandably. I think there are a few that dont hear on the day so dont panic, but I would ring them first thing this morning and ask what is happening. It is a shame some do not realise what a critical day this is and that any communication to let you know what is happening. It may be they have a few bits to iron out with the creditors over modifications. They may wish to canvas for more votes if not enough came in. Sometimes they adjourn the meeting.
Try ot to panic it is not necessarily a bad thing if it was a straightforward no then you probably would have heard straight away.
Just ring them first thing.

All the best let us know how it goes and who your creditors are.

I would guess that you are with one of the larger firms, who have an incredibly high number of meetings booked each day and perhaps lack a little in the area of customer service. That said, it is not right that they did not call you with the outcome, as technically you are supposed to attend the meeting and would therefore have known there and then.

I suggest that you give them a call and enquire why they did not afford you the courtesty of a phone call, about this very important commitment you are about to make, which will affect your life for the next five years.

Hey guys, i called the company today and had to leave a message as the IP was busy, i got a call back an hour later with the fantastic news that i have been accepted for my IVA.
Was i relieved, turns out the lady that calls us with the news had gone sick yesterday, so there was a few worried people, still i thought somewon could have made a quick call, I hope i never have to go through that again.
This is how it went...

Lloyds loan 9k voted yes
Lloyds loan 7k voted yes

Im not sure how much in the pound im paying back to the companys ?
My IVA will cost me £297.00 per month for the next five years which im more than happy with.
The Company is called ONE ADVICE (all clear)
It will be sooooo nice to use cash again.
