Hi. My daugther is now 15 years old and just doing her GCSE's she is then going to do A levels for 2 years then planning to go to uni. Hopefully by iva will have been passed by them. Will this affect her getting a student loan and will it affect her credit file

Your daughter's credit status should not be affected by your IVA, and is very unlikely to stop her getting a student loan.

Hi Caraf,
My daughter is currently in 1st year at uni. We have IVA going 30 months now. She took out Student Loan with no problems at all. I don't believe any other persons credit history counts here. Not sure Student Loans Company do credit searches.
One time irresponsible borrower of irresponsible lenders' money!!!

Hi Ghostboy. Thanks for that did she get a loan just for the fees or for living expenses too. Do you give her any money towards anything at uni

I would discuss the possibility of this with your IP before you commit to anything. It will really depend upon how this would affect your IVA payments.
