Hi Tanya
Yes if it allows no credit, but if your bank that provisdes the card is one of your creditors you will need a basic account not connected to creditors.

Hi
Only if it is from one of your creditors.
If the account is a non creditor and not HSBC/First Direct you will be able to keep it.

You probably have a three functioncard(masetro, cheque guaranteer, cash)
issued to a normal bank account. You will not be given this card in an iva, and have to settle for a SOlO or Visa Electron-not as good and downgrade to basic bank account
Only one UK bank owned by An Australian Bank
offer a basic bank account with a maestrocard

I kept my debit card and chequebook when I was in my IVA.

I have a maestro card and am in an IVA - I think they key is to arrange the bank account before the IVA goes through otherwise there will be a problem when you are credit scored.

Mine is a Visa Debit card rather than Maestro, but they didn't query it with me and did a credit check about the same time as IVA going through
