Our proposal form is dated 30.10.07 that states the iva is accepted providing we agree with the modifications. we are still not sure if this iva is going to work for us.We are seeking alternative advice as we are not convinced the iva company has advised us in the correct solution for us as well as our creditors. Is there a time length for us to sign and accept the proposal.

Hi Anna welcome to the forum,
I'm not exactly sure if there is a time frame to which you have to send your signed proposal back - think possibly 14 days but I could be wrong. What modifications have they proposed and you are not 100% happy with - could you possibly post a few more details briefly about your proposal?

Hi there
I would clarify with the IP you have the proposal with what the time scaleis, I think it is 14 days also - but am not 100% sure.
Please make sure you are happy with everything and the advice you have been given before you agree as 5 years is a long time and you need to be sure.
Why not try ringing the IP for advice and explain your concerns, my IP and her team were fantastic and I am sure they would much rather you discuss this with them as they may be able to put your mind at rest or make suggestions.
Good Luck

The original proceedings can only be adjourned for 14 days, so the time clock is ticking if you are having doubts. What is it in particular that is bothering you?
