Well, between the pair of us, me and my husband have managed to build up about 90Ks worth of debt with not a lot to show for it. We have started to go down the route of an IVA and our meeting is next Monday. Its only Wednesday and I've already started to panic and wonder whether it will all go through through ok, and if not what will happen then. We are currently offering 27p to £, which doesn't look a great return after seeing some of the other messages on here. My husband has started a new job which will give him more money he just doesn't know what yet (I know, Men, is the only way to explain it). At the very it least it will be 4K more than his previous job so this should raise our offerings, if he can find out before Monday what he is getting.
It is just so reassuring to read that we are not the only ones in this position, you start to image you are the only ones to be going through it.

Welcome to the forums
Do you have HSBC as one of your creditors?

Hi there and welcome to the forum
I am sure that you will sail through your creditors meeting on Wednesday, so long as you have put the very best proposal in front of your creditors and have chosen a reputable IP firm to represent you.
Make sure that you let us know about the outcome, and take care not to agree to increased expenditure that you do not feel you can afford.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner for over 20 years.

I think Marbles are HSBC which we both have a CC with, I know from reading other posts they aren't going to be particularly happy - or should I say less happy than the others.
We are going with ClearStart, which seem to be ok and the reviews are quite reassuring

No Marbles are HFC Bank so you are ok on that front

thats a relief, if we can be fortunate, we don't appear to have any with them - lots with everyone else though.

Hi coupleplus1,
Good luck for your meeting on Monday. As Melanie says, as long as you have put the best proposal forward you should have nothing to worry about.
Please let us know how you get on.
Kind regards,
Terry Balfour
