HI,
I have been in an IVA for nearly a year now and wondered if any one can tell me, Can i sell my house and move abroad and still keep a small amount of the equity (for moving costs etc.) if I pay the rest into the IVA?

Hi
Only your IP will be able to tell you that.
Although the IP normally registers an intertest in your property at the land registry I believe that it does not prevent you from selling. However let Melanie clarify that.
Would you still be able to pay into your IVA ?
Your IP will be able to arrange a variation meeeting and put your offer forward

The Land Registry Restriction will not necessarily stop you from selling, but the solicitors acting for the purchasers are unlikely to complete without this being removed which of course can only be effected by your IP.
If there is a good reason for you to relocate, and your suggestion does not affect your ability to honour your commitment to the IVA, I cannot forsee too many problems, but you really need to take advice from your own IP.
