I know that in my past posting I have rasied this matter, but I have just been re-reading a paragraph from my IP agreement on redundancy payout. I thought I was clear on the understanding that the redundancy payout would not be touched by the IP, but in reading this paragraph from my agreement below, I am not so sure...

"If I should receive a lump sum in respect of redundancy pay, I shall be permitted to retain the equivalent of six month net salary from which my voluntary contributions shall be maintained and the balance shall be offered to the Supervisor for the benefit of the creditors."

It is the case of "balance shall be offered"... What balance? ...

The balance if I receive more than six months salary? ...

The balance after value of 6 months IVA? ...

What happens now I start a new job, will they want to take it all as it does not substitue income? ... Or ... Am I allowed to keep the full amount to use as I need to regardless?

The uses for this compensation is intended to repay parents loan for car repairs, IVA arrears, upcoming car repairs and getting by... Am I now wrong?

Hi Gordon
I read it that you can keep the equivelent of six months net pay and the rest goes into the IVA "pot",and you continue to make your IVA payments.I also read it that you keep this amount even if you start a new job straight away

Oh what a bonus. I have done 28 years of nights though part time, but with four kids it was hard. Now I am just getting too old to change. Mind you hubby does them too so it works well really if I changed to days, as well as less money we wouldnt see each other. You just dont have any time for anything on nights it just seems to be work and sleep. I'm just having a moan, it makes me feel better. It makes me laugh when working the patients sometimes say have you had a nice day and I say I havent seen it Iv'e been in bed, and they seem surprised that you occasionally sleep aftyer working 11 hours all night.

I know that feels all too well... Staff coming in and saying... what a lovely day... so what are you gonna do today? ... Arrrrgh! ... Sleep of course!

I really do not know about shift patterns as I don't think they know themselves... It is very much a fragmented system, so I will just have to see as and when.

Yes, I understand that Melanie... The problem I have right now is that I cannot confirm if I will be free yet... All I know about the new job is that I start 9am tomorrow morning... Nobody seems to have a clue on the shift rotation as it depends on what shift manager takes me on... I don't even know what time I will work up to tomorrow either... could be just a few hours or maybe up to 11pm...

I will let you know about Reading as soon as I can find out myself... Will be good to see you both, but will need to wait a few days I suppose.

Hi Gordon

Just wanted to wis you all the luck in the world with your new job, i hope it is all you want it to be!!
You are really in need of some good times after all the stress you have had lately.
Also I think its fab you will be working a lot less hours as what you were doing was to much to have any kind of life outside work..
Good luck
Emma

Thanks Emma... I will be working a lot less, but the money will be even tighter, so unless I get a second job, I will be possibly looking at a variation meeting... However, due to enlightened moments of the brain and noted in another post... I might be able to do F&F, then it will not matter the reduced income as I will be saving £450 per month paying IP... IF IT IS FEASIBLE!
