On the list of expenditure within the petition it asks you how much you spend on telephone, i listed all mine together including mobile, and the amount £52, was not queried by the OR or was I asked which companies I was with. Although not sure if this differs by region and may depend on how much you put down. Also this is assuming you dont have any arears

You are certaintly allowed to keep them, but the expenditure needs to be modest and reasonable.

Hi Nield, when I went BR I listed internet (£15), phone (£15) and mobile (£25) together - costing £55 per month, the OR did ask if I had a contract mobile but allowed it. As Skippy and Melanie say as long as the cost is reasonable, it should be allowed. And as long as you are not including any arrears in your BR then there's no reason why you can't continue with them. Although if you do have a contract mobile, switching may prove difficult as I believe they do credit checks. Hope this helps.

I was allowed to keep my contract mobile as I didn't have any arrears with Vodafone. I want to change to a cheaper provider (and better phone!) next year so Dave is going to get a contract in his name and I'll pay him. Where there's a will there's a way!
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
