Hi
My girlfriend, who has a payment plan with Payplan is being pushed towards an IVA by them even though she is quite content to pay off the full amount she still owes (£15,000 approx).
We have been together for many years and lived together for ten years but have always maintained separate finances. She has been told that she must supply full details of my income and assets. Is this needed ?
The house and mortgage is (and always has been), in my name and I pay all outgoings, mortgage, council tax etc. I also filed a notice of disassociation with the credit reference agencies some 5 years ago.
Can an IVA force disclosure of a partners assets for inclusion in the IVA calculation, if this is the case the IVA route is not worth considering.
Any advice or personal experience would be welcomed.
Many Thanks
Steve
