My mother whos 75 years, owes about £30,000 on credit cards, she has her pension as income, could this qualify for an IVA, thanks

Well there is no legislation saying that she can't propose an IVA but I know that some companies put age restrictions on applicants. We will look at each case on it's merits though. There are a number of options dealing with debt difficulty with an IVA being just one solution. Please print some more details so we can advise further,

Exactly how much is owed and to who?
Does your Mother rent or own a house?
Does she live on her own?
How much money does she have left from her pension after she pays all her living costs?
Is there a particular reason she would not want to go bankrupt?
