I've just tried to top up my Paypal card and I've already hit a problem. I've got my Cashminder account linked to my Paypal account and I wanted to load the money from there so I followed the instructions, but all I could do was load the money via echeque, not transfer it from the bank. This wouldn't be a problem if an echeque cleared quickly, but it takes 7-9 working days and I'll need petrol long before that!

Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just me?!?

Presumably Skip your bank account will be loading money into your Paypal account first, then onto the card.

I've had this before and it's a pain. The only thing you can do is withdraw some cash and pay it over at the post office. It'll cost you a quid I think, but at least you'll have the money there.

That's what I'll be doing when I top mine up (Paypal account sadly lacking in funds at the moment!!!!!)

Thanks Jan. I think I'll be sticking to my Tuxedo card as I can transfer the money straight from the bank!

Skippy, is your bank account verified? If not that could be the problem with the echeque. When your account is verified it should give instant transfers

It's definitely verified, I checked this afternoon so I don't know what the problem is!

Aaah, I think I know what it is - my back up funding is another prepaid card. I presume Paypal know this and that's what's causing the problem!

I've loaded my Paypal card via my Paypal account a couple of times now.
My Paypal account is verified and linked directly to my current account and has loaded next business day with no problems.

My current account statement just says 'Paypal payment'

Could be your other top up card causing the problems as you said?

The only time I have had this problem is when the bank account wasn't verified. I added my electron card without any problems and only just veified my bank account. Why not send them an email, (phone costs a fortune, I found out when I phoned them), maybe it's teething problems on their side.....
