Well I was looking forward to Xmas and the end of 2007. If GT get moving I should have my letter of completion in the next couple of weeks. So all things should have been looking rosy then today I put the boiler on for some hot water, It made some very funny noises and then RIP. So no heating or hot water at the moment. I do have breakdown cover but looking at the small print it looks as if it not worth the paper it written on. I have to call the helpline tomorrow then they have a week to come out and have a look at it. Oh well tomorrow is another day lets see what life can throw at me.[:(]

Oh whichway. These things always happen at the wrong time. Get on to them and hopefully you will be covered. If you have children they should come out quicker I think.
As you say tomorrow is another day so keep smiling there is always somebody worse off than you, even though at times I know it doesnt feel that way.

Not a good time of year for the boiler to pack in, I do hope they can fix it under your warranty. I'm about to enter into an IVA and was just wondering if boiler insurance is something I should be looking at prior to proposal? Not sure if these things can be included in expenditure?

Good luck with the boiler. Ours conked out last year, and it was a complete knightmare. Keep wrapped up warm!

I know I'm a bit late, but I hope you have got the boiler sorted, especially with this freezing cold weather!

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

good luck with the boiler, I didnt have heating for the best part of a week in the last cold snap, I feel for you. I hope you manage to get warm and cosy with the hot water bottle.

Hopefully tomorrow evening will be pleasant, warm and cosy, I will send positive thoughts your way.

Well the boiler chap came out yesterday. The good news is that the boiler is fine. He thinks that its a blocked pipe in the expansion tank. The bad news is he could not do it,and it would not be covered by the policy. The good news is that someone is coming out today to look at it. The bad news is that its going to be at least £80.00 depending on whats wrong with it.
Still at least we should be warm for the weekend (I hope).

Had a very nice guy come out to look at the system. He could not understand why the person who was here yesterday did not do what was a easy job for them. It took him about 10 min. He then had a call to go to another job. He told me he would be back a while later which to his word he was. He then checked the system again to make sure it was all working. Now I asked him how much it was going to cost and I kid you not when he told me there was no charge. He said that it was not a problem and off he went. Just cannot believe that he did not want paying, its nice to know that their are still some people who just take pride in their jobs.
