Hi guys
just a quick question. Can I keep my contract phone now I'm bankrupt? I'm with 3 mobile and pay £20 a month for 600 texts and 75 mins talk time. I've only had it since September and it's on an 18 month contract.[?]

I was allowed to keep my contract with Vodafone. As I didn't declare the contract on my SOA (I didn't owe them anything) I mentioned it to the OR and was told they didn't have a problem with it.

I did't delare it either Skippy. I've only just thought about it. Thats a relief if you were allowed to keep it. I need my phone so I can check on dad regularly

Hi
You could argue that a mobile phone is a utility, your not taking any more credit than you would using electric or gas

I put both of ours on the expenditure form and we were allowed it, £35 each. The OR didn't allow anything for the house line/broadband though,

we have a PAYG £5 per month and a contract mobile, £25 per month and never thought that we may not be allowed them, we also got to keep the BT phone and broadband package[:D]
