Hi,

I have been in my IVA for 5 months now and today recieved a letter from Eversheds (law firm) saying that in April Goldfish handed over my account to them....I'm confused, what does this mean? Do I have to do anything or is this a standard letter?

Thanks
Suze

Morning Suze. What did the letter actually say? I recieved on of those from Eversheds.Mine said they had taken on the debt but knew of IVA proposel and possibly wouldn't hear from me again. Just send it to your IP to deal with.Cat

Hi,
If this debt was included in your IVA then just pass letter onto your IP and dont worry about it.
If this is a new debt not yet included in your IVA it may be possible to have it included, so speak to your IP and they will advise the best course of action.
hope this helps,

Kirsty

Dont worry about the letter - it is just a standard notification. I have received 10 since the start of my IVA - all saying exactly the same (debt sold to Max Recovery and will be administered by Eversheds) and there is no need to do anything about them. Like others - I copy them to my IVA Company although I understand that they are sent a separate letter anyway.

I have never received any follow-up correspondence to any of the letters.

Lile cfnc says - just check that the debt has been correctly included in your original proposal for your own peace of mind.

I have a little file with all of ours in now suz. they have just bought the debt and it doesnt affect you at all, just forward it to your Ip though they will probably have been informed.
