Well ive submitted my new I&e to my ip with a note to see if he has any suggestions of what my options are in regard to my iva as I dont earn enough to keep going like this and am not yet at 2yr mark, so he's reluctant to do a variation. For me and my 2 doggies.
Income £800
Rent £200
Shopping and toiletries £140
Petrol £60
Phone £30
sky £10
Aol £10
Prescription £7.10
Tax £15
Service & maintenance £10
Insurance £30
Clothes £20
Dentist, opticians ets £10

Does this look reasonable? Im waiting to hear back off him with some suggestions , but wanted to make sure I wasn't asking for too much in my I&E.

Becky - it looks more than reasonable, it looks downright frugal to me! Are you sure that you can manage on such a low budget for the next three years?

Ive been managing ok up til now but my rent has been put up to £200 recently from £160 and my shopping bills seem to be getting bigger by the week!!Ive been selling on ebay to make ends meet but Ive run out of stuff now. My contributions should be £302 and obviously my i&e doesnt leave that after all my essentials. I need my contributions to be set lower but dont want to jeopardise my iva. Ive asked my ip for advice and he's very good at getting back to me, just wanted to check I wasnt being unreasonable.

Good news Becky, glad you have some breathing space. Hopefully the variation will go ok as well.

Don't leave yourselve short ------things are going to get tigher before they get better, and the last thing you need to need to do is live off peanuts for the remainder of your IVA - we still have to live at a reasonable standard whilst in our IVA so don't agree to something you simply cannot stick to.
