I just thought I'd share this as I was quite surprised and pleasantly reassured by the response I got from GT when I rang them to say that our Landlord was selling (again!!!) and that we were on the look out for a new home but it would be highly probable that our new rent would be about £800 (currently only pay £695).
I was asked if it would affect our initial contribution - to which I replied no as I could rejiggle our budget to fit it but we would not be in a position to increase our contribution at our annual review (due shortly). And the response I got back was that as long as we continue to make our initial contribution every month then they are happy! Knock me down with a feather!!!
I have to say that since I took the step of dealling with our joint IVA and finances in a pro-active way, I'm not scared or worried or even intimidated by our IVA provider and essentially as we are paying them to service our IVA i have become alot more bold in telling them what we can and can't afford and what the situation is. Touch wood - they have been happy with everything we've done/said/written.
