I paid the last IVA amount at the end of May 2008 and am waiting for the final 'clearance' letter.

However, I had to call my bank, as they had written to an old address offering me an overdraft.

Also, when I called them, they said that I am now eligible for a loan!!!

Do they know something I don't!!??????

The chances are, if you were to apply, it would probably refuse you upon application anyway.

It just made me laugh, that it was almost as if they were trying to 'throw' money at me all of a sudden!!!

People in iva's must make a good candidate for future credit as they have been carefully budgeting for the last 5 years or so and know how to manage money!!!!
Not that I think people who have been through an iva would want to touch credit for a long time[:D]
