Hi everyone, I have been looking at this forum for a couple of days, even though I dont have an IVA. It is something I have thought about and I have just spent an hour on the phone with a lovely chap called Nathan from OneAdvice. I gave him all my info, he's sending me some forms and is calling me tonight to get more info[:)]
I just thought it might be nice to have a new post for people who are just starting off the process.
I am 23, live with my partner in a privatly rented house with two cats and a rabbit. I owe £15,000 (myself, not him) and rely on him totally for food, clothes and many of the bills.
I've been unsure about getting an IVA as I didn't know too much about it. My main worry is not being able to get a mortgage (who will at this rate!) once I have completed it but I have been assured that I will :)
So, thats the basics, I just thought I'd say hi and see if anyone else is in a similar situation :)

Oh, different note entirely, I had a slip come through my letter box offereing me a "quick and easy loan" with an APR of 365%, OMG, it just really annoys me. People who would look at something like that are obvoiusly in a hard situtation and they just make it worse, grrr!!

Hi Lil Lem and welcome to the forum.

Did you really mean an APR of 365% or did you miss a decimal point out?

Hi Lem, Welcome to the forum.
Well done, you've taken the first step to debt free! Please make sure you look into all options and are comfortable with the advice and solutions offered to you. It's usually best to speak to a couple of different people before opting for the right one for you.
There are a few of those loan sharks out there, scary to think some people actually take them out.

Are One Advice an IP firm, or are the a firm of finders who refer clients to IP firms?
