We decided to go for an IVA about 6 weeks ago.
We have contacted 3 different companies - the first were not for us, the second were ok - but have still not come back to us 3 weeks later about whether we have a case or not. The third sounded extremely promising - but now we have not heard from them for 2 weeks either - despite sending all in depth information as requested.
What should I do now?
We are sat here trying to sort our situation out but whilst we wait for IP's to come back to us our situation is getting worse and worse and we are no nearer finding any kind of solution. We do not know if we are good for an IVA or not?
I did not think the intial enquiry stages would be quite so stressful - I thought this came when you were waiting for an IVA to approved
Despite our efforts - we are no further forward than we were 6 weeks ago.

HI Apple

have you tried to contact the company who you felt happy with to see whats happening, also have a look at IVA.COM there are reviews on there about different companies and their IPs Melanie who posts on this site is an IP with an outstanding reputation have you thought about giving her a ring. hope you manage to sort things out quickly it is a very stressful time from beginning to end so you need to choose your IP carefully and you dont need the added stress of being left out of the loop and not know what is happening.

good luck and keep posting

Apple, sorry to hear you are having so much trouble finding an IP.

I am with Payplan and found them excellent, but as Rockbottom says, check out iva.com or phone Melanie. If I hadn't already been sorted when I found this site, I would certainly have phoned her.

There are a lot of people on here who rate her very highly.

I have also gone with MelanieGiles. I posted on here for a while before biting the bullet and then reviewed a few companies before I chose I went with the people who I would be happy to talk to over the next 5 years. All melanie's team very helpful and none judgemental and approachable. My creditors meeting Fri 18th July.

Wish I was with Melanie.

I went from Debtmatters [xx(] to Grant Thornton [?] when they sold off their book, but Melanie has always been professional but with a touch of humour thrown in when I've seen her post on here. For me, that human touch is very important and I feel that with a large company, that is sometimes lost.

Good luck
