What does everyone think about this latest hike in car tax from Mr Brown?
I have worked out tonight that ours will be going up by £70 next year, and I know some will be going up more!
The way things are going, I think my IP will be paying me monthly next year rather than the other way round.

i would think the uk has got to be the most taxed in the universe we pay through the nose for everything and when yu go abroad everything is as cheap as chips!!!!!! time to emigrate[:D]

they will be taxing the air we breath soon time to get some gills

mines not going to change much but for those that it will affect you can save a bit if it's due for renewel before 15th september. If you put 6 months on it'll fall due again before the price goes up and then you can put 12 months on for a lower rate.
I think it only works out as a saving for band f or above! You can check what your's will be next year on parker's guide.

Pixie, we renewed ours at the end of May, so will get stung next year. Wish I'd done it for 6 months then I could have renewed it November for 12 months.
Wouldn't mind so much if I had a big gas guzzling car, but we have a 2 1/2 year old Skoda Octavia 1.6 petrol - hardly in the same league as a Porsche!
