Hi Guys. I have received a letter from a debt recovery company today which is a notice of intended litigation before legal proceedings in the county court. It gives me 7 days to pay one of my credit cards in full. I have phoned them and told them that I am in the late stages of an IVA application and they have asked for a copy of all the paperwork relating to my IVA. I have told them that I will forward the letter for my IP to deal with and they should hear something from her. It has really worried me as it only gives my until the 11th July and my creditors meeting won't be until the end of July. Can anyone advise what I should do please? Thanks Kazzy x

Just send this on to your IP and they will deal with it for you. It is nothing really to worry about.

Kazzy - don't panic! Send the letter to your IP. I haven't paid creditors since April and I have loads of these letters, but no Court proeedings yet! My meeting is next Monday. If they do issue Court proceedings, you'll have 14 days to reply from when you receive it, so its likely that your meeting will be underway or have taken place. Good luck x

I stopped paying my creditors in Sept 2006 and I finally got to be debt free in June 2008. It was like an explosion in a we are going to take you to court letter printer in my house. I could have papered the walls in every room. I never got taken to court.
