Hi If my debts are n joint names, can i still do a iva even if i am not with the person anymore?

Yes you can,but take the full debt into account[not half] for joint debts.

so does this mean that he will get away with the debt if i go this option would bankruptcy be best option then?

Hi
No he will be chased for the full debt also.You are both jointly and severly liable for the full debt so even if you opt for bankruptcy he will still be liable.

So long as you can maintain the required level of payments, or agree a reduced rate with your supervisor.

Yes - so long as you can afford to make individual contributions to your creditors.
