Hi

We received a text message from our IP - Blair Endersby - asking us to call them because they want to try to make things easier for us. Has anyone else had a message like this from BE and have you made contact with them about it yet?

Thanks

Sounds like one of those vultures who prey on the insolvency register

No - we have our IVA with Blair Endersby and they want us to set up a telephone meeting with them next week to "Make things easier for us"! I am intrigued and just wondered if anyone else who is with Blair Endersby has had a similar message/meeting.

Hi
I know Blair Endersby look at this forum so they may want to contact you if they feel that you have a problem that they are not dealing with. However they do not have access to your identity on this forum so it could be good guess work or just a coincidence

Hi - thanks for your replies - we have been in our IVA since October 2006. Perhaps it might be the 15% variation thingy you mentioned LadyH.

It goes without saying that I will let you all know what they want/what they can do for us.

Hi
It will not be the 15% reduction as this only affects IVAs from Feb this year.
I think it is a customer service inititive

To me it would be insulting that they could not even pick up the phone and speak to me directly or write to me. They'd rather use a machine to send out Spam texts to their customers and then ask those very same customers to call them back at the customer's expense.

Blair Endersby ... why don't you write to your customers or speak to them directly if you think you can help them? You're going to end up speaking to them anyway. Unprofessional - that's how you come across to me.

I hope that the number they are asking you to call is not one that generates an income.

I am inclined to agree with Cybus here - and it is an odd thing to be sending out as their primary duty of care is to ensure that creditors get paid as much as the debtor can comfortably afford. It would be better for them to deal with individual client requests for reduced payments, rather than appearing to open the floodgates so to speak.

Yes, I agree - it is a bit odd, the way they go about things, but I will just wait and see what they say.

I received a letter from my IP re the IVA council but also offering help if people were finding things difficult with the increase cost of living etc. I have written asking from a decrease in payments or for not to pay 50% of the small increase in our pension and salary. don't know if it will do any good and I don't want to extend our payments unless I have no other choice. Keeping everything crossed that the reply will be favourable.

I tend to agree with Cybus and Melanie ... I would find a text message a bit insulting. I wonder whether with the cost of living rising so steeply they are setting out to lock the stable doors before the horses bolt ... i.e anticipating future problems with failing IVAs due to people being on tight enough budgets as it is?

Hi everybody

We won't have long to find out what BE want - we are speaking to them this week (had to arrange an "appointment"!) so I will post and let you know how we got on.
