I had car finance a number of years ago (Approx 11 years). The car went along time ago and finance paid off many many years ago. I need to find out who provided the finance. The car garage has long gone, my bank, at the time, say they can only go back to a certain year on my historical data, so they say and i have no records at all. ANy idea how i find out the finance company name etc

Apparently some of these PPI claims companies reckon they can go back 35 years with just your bank account details, so there must be a way !

Love to see how they do that - most companies sharing data for credit only started doing it routinely from around 2006/7 - credit crunch.
