I have 2 payments left to make 20th Aug and 20th Sep @
£855 each....this has been the longest 5 and a half year sod my life....I haven't told anyone about my situation...I am too ashamed...
I am really struggling with these last 6 weeks....completion is on my mind all the time....
Still excited for a new start and making plans at long last....

Ah! In that case the completion might not be a fast as with many others. That said GT do appear to be finally getting to grips with their backlog. A lot will depend upon whether you have been with GT from the start (as there is an ongoing VAT issue) and the state of play with any PPI investigations.
But, it will soon be over and you will get your fresh start

Congratulations! We are a couple of months ahead and the last few weeks dragged as we did a daily countdown!
The good thing is that you will have a sizable disposable income to be able to use to enjoy going forward.
I am trying hard not to think about a completion certificate but do really want it done and dusted asap!!!

We had a car on finance during the iva. Not too sure if you would need the cc or not. I think you are bound by terms until you receive it so maybe a chat with IP would confirm.

Who did you get finance with if you don't mind me asking

I cleaned up all my credit files and had my completion certificate and then I got a car loan via Barclays, surprised me but like I say I did clear everything up first.
Do talk to your IP if you plan to apply before CC is received as technically we're bound by the terms of the IVA until it's received as I understand it.

We went through Dunctons who are now moneybarn. Not cheap but we were desperate! Hubby's car died and one was needed for work. I am sure you would get a better deal once your file is clean - depends how desperate you are!!
