I had to post this; if anyone doesn't know about Approved Food they are great for really good bargains and worth giving a go. They sell short and post-date foods (that is, best before not sell by dates). Just got my order this morning, spent £27.52. Value of goods £79.50 so a saving of £57.23 after postage. I love cooking so I have lots of ingredients and gourmet thingies that I could not otherwise afford. We don't eat junk and I'm pretty pleased with the savings we are making. If you have a son/daughter/sibling/parent to share an order with - even better! You have to take pot luck but it's a great way of building up the stores and having a few luxuries at the same time.

Thanks iva mess will take a look, love cooking and like you don,t eat junk food, cook from scratch as you will be aware contrary to popular belief it is cheaper most of the time to cook especially if you have a freezer, will let you know how I get on.

There's plenty of junk there to satisfy even the junkiest of diets! I get fed up because so many supermarket offers are on things that we would never use - so this way at least some of the time there are some great offers.

I've had a look and I say I eat junk, well not all the time and right now I'm on a health surge (getting ready for hols).
My question is they obviously post, what if you're not in? any idea?

They City Link it - they also email you to keep you updated about when it will arrive (to within 2 hours) so they are pretty good and it gives you time to make an arrangement. Maybe they could deliver to work and you could meet the courier and shove everything in the car?

I thought I'd go in with my son he's always after a bargain so might introduce him to it. Had daughter home from uni for 10 days and been shopping at Sainsbury's as it's 15% off with her colleagues discount

it is a great site for dried goods that never really go off, so casserole / sauce mixes (Love using my slow cooker) etc its great. Not tried it for anything else though. Hubby is so picky about Use/ Sell by dates, I am the sort that if it looks OK and smells OK I use it. Must be his Chef's training lol.
