Am thinking of joining because I do have enough storage space to bulk buy things but wondered if it's actually cheaper than the supermarkets. I would be buying pet food, meats, canned drinks, beers, washing and dishwasher stuff etc?

Hi, I'm not sure to be honest, think Kallis might be a member so I'm sure she'll let you know.
We don't have one around here so not an option. I do sometimes go to the wholesalers with a friend. x

We love Costco - costs £30 a year for joint membership but you can get some good bargains there and because it is American owned there's usually something you can't normally get over here.

It is very easy to overspend!! We usually have a list and write down the prices as we walk round, plus anything extra. Tend to buy washing powder, frozen stuff (the vegetable parmesan risotto is amazing!!) and stock up on things like canned tomatoes.
If you are catering for a party then their sandwich platters are great value and very tasty!!

Unfortunately the nearest one to us is miles away so there's no point. If it was closer I'd probably join!

Ours is about 25 miles away but it is worth it a couple of times a year.

Can anyone join? Going to the wholesalers with my friend you have to have a business but I buy things through her.

Good point Lesley, I'd forgotten about that. I think you have to be either a business or work for the public sector.

Definitely worth if you have room to store things - fizzy drinks, toilet rolls, washing tabs, dishwasher tabs, meat and fish - if you know someone who is an individual member rather than trade member you can pay to be an associate member on their account and you dont have to go with them !

We buy boat loads of loo rolls and kitchen roll from there. We do also buy mince from there, it's really lean.

I've just had a look on the website and our nearest one is Croydon - no way am I going there! Not that we have any room to store anything anyway!

Thanks for the advice, going to sign up at work as they are doing a special sign up offer. Didn't want to sign up and find there were no bargains to be had, although it does say they will refund membership if not satisfied. I heard the meat was good quality and have just got a massive American fridge freezer to fill.

I'd say give it a go then Mattyboy as you've nothing to lose but hopefully a few £'s to save.
