What a lovely day!! I'm sat outside on the garden swing on the laptop with a can of Carlsberg infront of me.
Jan has been doing some washing and is now preparing tea - makes a change!!!! Even she can't burn a salad - I hope!!!

I'm sat indoors finishing uni work. All I keep telling myself is one more week and I'm done until September...it's keeping me going. This time next year I'll be finished the degree too unless I get made redundant and then I'll not be completing the final year starting September.

My deadline for this final assignment is next Wednesday. If I hit it which I'm planning on doing I'll be free until September. Had a meeting today prior to consultation being over next week and the new job description means no more holidays outside of term time. I'm am so not happy! but need the money...for now!

Long may this gorgeous weather continue [8D] I have a HR strategy to work on over the weekend, but it will be so much nicer working on the laptop in the garden.
Good luck with the job Lesley, we're all routing for you![:)]

Thank you, I'll definitely apply but whether I get it time will tell. I am thinking of asking for an estimate of redundancy to see if I could potentially offer a F&F and maybe end the IVA early? x

No harm in asking - is there an enhanced redundancy package? You can use the calculator on direct.gov.uk if it's basic redundancy.

To be honest Julie I've no idea. I'll nip over there and take a look at the basic redundancy amount.
Never crossed my mind until tonight to even think about asking.
Been to a spiritualist evening and the medium brought my FIL to me!

Voluntary redundancies normally have "an over and above" payment, to make it attractive. Always worth knowing what the statutory payment is to use as bargaining tool, if you can.
Hope the FIL sent some positive messages??????

It's tempting but not sure.
It was a lovely evening. Sceptical at the outset but with Michael coming through and a school friend of B's it was very emotional.
