After reading about all the F&Fs being put forward and accepted I wondered if anyone ever dreamt they would be in the position to do it when they started out?

I'm not in a position to and would never think I could be (close to the end now) but would have liked the opportunity x

It's good to dream, I dream very often about what I'm going to do when IVA payments have finished. x

the only reason our IVA ended was due to a very sad loss and the inheritance I received - I would much prefer to have been still in my IVA and have my beloved God Mother still with us - but it isn't to be so have made the most of a bad situation !
Our IVA would not be due to end until September this year so we have continued to live like being in an IVA !

i'm 3 months into my IVA and was thinking if i start saving now £30-£40 per month when we come to try and remortage at 41/2 years (which i doubt we will be able to do) i may have enough saved to offer a full and final. Even if it was turned down at least we would have some money towards the remainder of the payments. Good idea in principle but not sure we can afford to save anything so still thinking about it!

It's good to dream.

I hoped when we started the IVA that I would get my ill health retirement and it happened quicker than I thought. Although our life hasn't changed financially - the reduction in our income is a bit more than the IVA payment - but the 9 months in the IVA has taught me to budget and so the IVA was a godsend as I would be despairing if I had taken the retirement and still had all the debts!

The only way we'd be able to do a full and final is if we won the lottery and as Jan is the only one who does it now at work then it's highly unlikely!

Remember everyone has to dream and someone has to win the lottery[:D]

If Jan wins anything at work then it's between 14 of them!!

I hold out for the lottery but if you're not in it you can't win it so they say.

We'll just be happy to get to the end now.

I'm the other way...I turned down an offer to make a full and final as I don't feel I'm ready to be out of my iva yet. I haven't learnt the all important budgeting lessons so think I'd be back in another iva in the blink of an eye. [:(]
