Hello everyone, I know that money maybe tight, but do spare a few notes, possibly more, to Claire Squires Just Giving. She is the amazing young woman who almost made it to the finish line at Sunday's London Marathon, before sadly collapsing and dying. In her honor and memory, she is managing to raise a staggering £2k a minute in donations right now. She is raising money for The Samaritans. Please dig deep. Regards to all.

Such a sad story and I hope a lot of money is raised in her honour. I have sponsored other runners with causes close to my heart.

I read about this on Sunnday as my friend was completing the marathon and tweeting and I was shocked when it was confirmed. RIP Claire

So very very sad, and it goes to prove it doesn't matter how fit or unfit you are, you never know what is around the corner.
Lovely to see all the tributes being made by complete strangers - RIP Claire !

so so sad, as a runner and a cardiac nurse myself, this is something very close to my heart, one of the saddest things about this I feel is her poor parents, Claire was raising money for the samaritans in memory of her brother who died after committing suicide 10 years ago following depression, how on earth her parents must feel having lost both a son and daughter is beyond me xx

Very sad Lem, they sound like a wonderful family and even at this awful time for them, at some point they will be able to sit down together and make a plan to support all the causes that they feel would have been important to Claire. A noble death, and legacy. Her poor parents though.
