After 5 years on a fixed rate, I was wondering if anyone else was looking forward to a Standard Variable Rate??! Gonna make a difference of approx £100 per month better off! Saying that it'll end up in the IVA pot......[:)]

No sign of the rates changing anytime sooner either.

I've always been on SVR so been happy that it's been low since I've been in the IVA.

I am hoping if the rate stays low to overpay our mortgage a little once we are discharged, still 19 years left on mortgage so it hardly looks like we have paid anything back!!

If we hadn't been stupid enough to take out a top up on our mortgage then I'd be finished in less than two years!! As it is, it will be an additional seven years on top of that.

How stupid were we?

I'm with NRAM - thought I was on SVR and as I was entitled to a discount as loyal customer. Got a response sorry sir your not on SVR no discount which is worth 0.25%. what am I below SVR 0.01% so that's a little crafty I feel!!
I said many months ago no rate increase until late 2012 early 2013 may be even longer.
