I've eventually taken the step and start on a Counselling short 10 week course in the next 2 weeks, half a day x 10. I hope it turns out to be worth it it's £100, not a lot but it's a lot to me still, we're still getting used to being through the IVA and I have a migraine every month doing lists of what we need to spend money on. It's something I have always had an in interest in - what on earth will I do next? Does anyone have any experience of such courses this is just a basic intro to Counselling. [;)]

I did one a while ago now -- it does get pretty intense, as you will be looking at yourself as part of the process. I didn't want to be a counsellor, but, as I deal with the public a lot ( and back then, face to face in some pretty intense situations) it has proved very useful in everyday life.

Best of luck with it.

Good luck my daughter is hoping to go to university to study Psychology at Manchester (with German) and become a counsellor.

I'm a safeguarding champion at the college I work and had to do a basic counselling course via the college as well as external safeguard course, got a bit intense at times but very interesting. x
