anyone got any tried and tested miracle cures for a cold / sore throat.

I was ill Xmas day last year and have started with a cold today [:(] need to get rid ASAP

I've got the same problem and I feel awful. Think I will be leaving work early (on til 10) as I really can't concentrate.

Drink plenty and if you have a juicer the more vit c the better!!!

Oh and rest up!!

Defo I am the first to admit being soft when it comes to colds [:(]

I just want it gone before weekend.

Although at the moment I am in the Xmas spirit with my bright red rudolph nose [:D]

I've not really got the cold symptoms yet, just the bad throat and head and the shivers.

I know what you mean I feel and look like crap!!

I am finishing work now gonna go and get in bed and try and sweat it out, you need to so the same hun.

'Man flu'?? PAH in our house we have 'gay flu', this is so much worse than any type of flu! We have to dab our foreheads with the back of our hands making a 'ooOOOOooooo' noise every 10 mins and watch the film Beaches on a continual loop until were better! We must also have frequent ranting sessions about how the world is terrible and nothing could be worse than how im feeling right now.....you wouldn’t think im a nurse[:D]

My partner hates in when i start getting the sniffles...he knows he's in for a rough time lol!

I use Tiger Balm for any kind of headaches linked to Flu, you get it from most Chinese herbalists it's usually aout £5 or you can get it on ebay cheaply -but you only need a tiny amount and my last little jar lasted over 10 years! Just don't put it too near your eyes because your eyes will run for hours if you do. Albas bath Oil in a steaming bath also helps me and you can get little Albas inhalers(you know you sniff them) I get 2 for about a pound at most cheap Chemist style shops. Hope you soon feel better.

I use Nurofen Cold and Flu - not cheap but the best cold remedy I've ever used. As soon as I feel a cold coming on I drug myself up to the eyeballs!
