Today I decided to ask my mum what she would like for xmas. She says she would like a fitness DVD - She's 75.

She used to go to a 'golden ages' fitness class each week, but it folded due to there only being a few ladies turn up. She goes to dancing once a week and is generally active, but is looking for something to do at home when the weathers bad through the winter. I've been trawling through Amazon and its not the simple task I thought. They've got loads of stuff for younger people, and yoga stuff, but nothing thats a bit more on the gentle fitness side. Anyone come accross anything that might be suitable?

Good for your mum!! Mine is 86 and old beyond her years, as is my dad. No way would they do anything.

Can't help you with anything gentle though.

Her best friend is 85, they walk everywhere. Think she's just a bit miffed that the fitness class got cancelled...Still working my way through Amazon, its all boxercise, salsa and WAG aerobics [:0]

Wish my mum and dad were like that. They are both of the mindset that they are old and so can't do anything.

Your parents are of the same mindset as hubby's Mum, my Mum is active but my neighbours beat her hands down, they are more active than me!

Few on this page - not sure any are what you're looking for but a better search might provide what you're looking for x

thanks for the link Lesley-there's a few there I'd not spotted before.
Julie- my friend had a Green Goddess DVD when they first came out, I seem to remember it was a little bit fast....
Have also found one on Help The Aged Online Shop - but I think this one might be a bit slow looking at the clip on the website.
Will just have to take the plunge and buy a couple!

There is a walking DVD by Leslie Sansone (I think thats her name) called Walking with Leslie, it is good and the speed does pick up I used it via you tube once and was quite tired by the end of it, have a look on You Tube before you buy anything as they often have them on there ( on the fitness channel on there) and you can see what you are getting.
She does a 1 mile, 3 mile one a 5 mile one.
