Many of you may know I am Security for an Office Building. We have a firm that has taken one of 8 floors and provide serviced little offices.
Well they have a Deli Bar with loads of food but only a few customers and I mean (Like 5 a day!) so on Friday the Chef gives loads away.
This morning I got a free Sausage and Bacon Roll Mmmmmm.
This afternoon the Office Manager and Receptionist took loads but the following was left:
2 Croissants
3 Fruit Cups
A Lemon Bun
2 Cheesecake Puddings
2 Mozzarella and Italian Subs
1 Flapjack
1 other bun
The question: Can I eat all of this tonight hehe?
Sure my missus will give me a hand.

If you force yourself I am sure you can manage --- it's filthy work .. but someone has to do it

Because of "health and safety, our catering department can no longer give food away at the end of the day, they have to bin it: MADNESS!

Health and Safety my a**e!!
It's like the supermarkets throwing food in skips then getting upset when people raid them. Ridiculous. Everyone knows that most foods can be eaten past there best before date - it makes me very very angry![:(!]

Many moons ago, when I lived in Worthing ( and supermarkets closed Sundays) every saturday evening the local homelessness charity used to collect short dated food from the supermarkets and re-distribute it among the shelters and even the nursing homes. Eventually the H&S got wind of the practice and stopped it. Mindless jobsworthism.

Yeah I'm sorry but if you are a Health and Safety person then beyond the obvious the rest of it is them just making stuff up to jusitfy their existence.
I'm so wound up. I'm starting another topic on H&S lol:

I believe that Pret a Manger still give out their unsold food at the end of the day to the homeless.
There are a couple of websites that sell out of date food as well.
I'm a firm believer that if it smells good and tastes ok it is fine to eat.
The sellbuy dates are just recommendations.

Totally agree Jan. Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall said something years ago that has stuck with me 'If unsure, give it a sniff and let your nose judge!'
