Hi all

Not been around for a while, things been going on and I just don’t seem to have had the time to sit and read thru the forum properly.

I’ve been filling in at school for the last two months (and next two months) as a Dinner Lady, or Child Support Supervisor LOL. Its £6.45 a day but it adds up at the end of the month and means we will be able to uplift something plus have a few extra pennies in the bank.

Hubby had investigative surgery on his knee three weeks ago to see if he can have the major Osteotomy to correct the alignment of his knee, and so solve other problems, but he’s been told that his knee is too badly damaged to do it and they won’t do a knee replacement, as he is too young. They’ve told him that if they were to do it now they would need to do it again in ten years and that would then only last about six years so putting him in a wheelchair by 60, the fact he is in one now is daft. We’re going to push for it soon.

On the good side he was accepted for the DLA and we can look at getting a motability car. Some lovely ones out there.

DD is doing well and is 9 next week, how time flies. I’ve been managing to buy presents for the last six months and so only have one major ish one to buy now…she is having a riding lesson for her birthday and we have agreed to take it in turns, once a month, for her to have more lessons. Didn’t think £9 every two months for half an hour was too bad. She gets pocket money from FIL so is going to use that.

How is everyone else, hope you are all doing well. Am still planning on the get together in July, it will all depend on how hubby is with pain etc., and of course having a few pennies to spend on fuel.

Hi Karin, nice to see you back, you've been busy. Push for hubby's op if that is what is best for him. Hope daughter enjoys her horse riding. Good news about the DLA x

Hi Karin,

Can you let me know asap if you can make July? I've got to start sorting figures out so I know how much food etc to get.

It's only five weeks away now - can't believe how quickly it's coming round.

Oh my god is it really that close....oh heck. Erm, I'll juggle figures and look at current thigns going on and letyou know for def hun. I don't know for def cos I don't really want to leave Martin on own with DD, i know he is fully capable of looking after her, but he's so unsteady on feet at the moment that i think he is trying too hard to quickly and if something were to happen I would be too far away. I'm not gonna ask him though cos I know what will happen LOL, will let you know soon I promise.
