I am with Anglian Water and our water bill for the half year is £590
I have one bathroom and toilet and there are 3 people living in the house. My bill is always this high and stupidly I have never thought to question it...doh!!! Its seems vey high and I wondered if other poeple would let me know what they pay.

We live in a four bedroom house, three toilets, one bath and a shower.

We pay £55 a month for 8 months of the year.

There's two to four people (dependent on whether daughter and fiance are there) and three dogs here.

Hi, We live in a 3 bedroomed semi detached house + Garden with 2 adults n 2 kids n we are with Yorkshire Water.

We pay 56 per month for 8 months on Water Rates - i wont change to a water meter!
Our previous home was a 2 bedroomed terraced house no garden, same amount of people, n was 30 per month for 8 months.
Are you on rates or a meter? If on rates have you thought about changing to a meter n seeing how that goes?
With Yorkshire Water they will let you change back with in the first year, if it does not benefit you or you dont like it.

I won't be changing to a meter either! I do think my water company is good and we've never had a hosepipe ban.

Thames Water were rubbish and had a really bad record for leaking pipes. The problem is though you can't change water companies!

although it does say if they come and check your water meter and its its alright (which its bound to be !!!) then they will charge you.
I'll keep you posted.

It does seem high though Karen so I would probably raise a concern before asking them to come out, do you read it yourself?

It dooes seem a lot.

Perhaps you should start to note down your usage to see if you are using more than you think?

I'm with Anglia Water too, but I pay rates - which is considerably less than you are paying - is it possible to switch back to rates at all?

I am with Bristol Water (Strange that as I live in Bristol [:D] )and I pay £44.45 per month for 10 months, we have 2 toilets, only 2 of us in the house, a meter would probably benefit us just never even thought to look into it.
