Blimey what a week.I'm finally in my new place and it's gorgeous. A little stressful and had a few breakages, namely the washing machine, and some old crockery, nevermind. Yes, so i'm settling in, my friends are queing to come round and have a butchers, have dinner and share it all.I'm nicely overwhelmed.

Brilliant Quark! So glad it's ok even if you did have one or two mishaps.

We're waiting for the invite to the housewarming!

Hope you are ok.

I'm glad you're in Quark! Breakages happen - I put Dave's grandmother clock on the tail lift of the van and then raised it up. The clock smashed into about a million pieces and I'm still trying to live it down!

Good luck in your new place, and like Jan I'm waiting for the housewarming invite!!!

Not as bad as Dave - he hit 2 cars when he drove the 7.5t van to the new house!

Of course i'll still talk to everyone, of course, it's all part of my journey, and i'm happy to share it, wartage and drama and all.My overwhelming feeling is relief, and a feeling of security,it's like Fort Knox to get in, and enormous security guards patrol the village throughout the night, mainly to protect us and the construction equipment on the site of Phase 2. The next thing that's happening on Monday is my old place being pulled down, i shall stand outside and probably whimper like mad.

Our washing machine died shortly before we moved so we left it for the idiot that bought the place!

Well it still worked if you didn't mind a drum banging in the kitchen! I hope he liked the filing cabinet in the garage as well!

As he nearly caused the chain to collapse he's lucky he didn't get a few prawns in the curtain hems!

Great minds think alike Skip!

Don't blame you. Stepdaughter inherited all sorts of kitchen stuff from the previous owners. They omitted to tell her of the work that needed doing to the house (and still needs doing) as she didn't have a full survey (she was told to have one).

Yes i shall whimper, i know it. The end of that particular chapter in my life.I continue to love playing house at the minute i bought a replacement door off a old scrapped washing machine, £20 same manufacturer bit of a sod to put on but it looks almost exactly the same, though there is just a tiniest leak when it's doing the rinses, so have a towel down, i think there's a small tear in the rubber seal, not a biggy, though i do know i shall need to buy a new washer completely at some point, oooer. I'm completely delighted with my new home and happy as mook !!!!
