The local Bikers do a Christmas Run[:D]...For the past 8 years, every Sunday before Christmas, all the Bikers get dressed up in Santa Costumes and do a 'Santa Run 'in our Town!!....They each have to donate at least £2 and this goes to 2 local charities, this year being Macmillan and the Air Ambulance...they drove past us earlier honking their horns[:I] and there must have been a good few hundred participating[:0]...some of them were hilarious to look at and it got me thinking, what a lovely idea for Christmas....Just wondered if anyone else had anything going on like this?..xx

Ah that would have been great to watch. We have the Marie Curie Christmas sleigh, Father Christmas rides his sleigh around the village collecting for the charity. The Sleigh is great, is all lit up and carol singers walk next to it. I love that. X

There round table do that where we live viki. We saw it last night with santa and loads of people dressed as elves and snowmen. As we drove past, one of the snowman fell off. It was sooooo funny. Think they had all had a skin full LOL

[:D][:D][:I]..Mrs S..I don't think any of our local Bikers had had a skinful as they were being escorted by a police car at the front and the back..so they were probably being very cautious!!.it's been a lovely sunny day here too, I was looking out of our Bedroom window and waving at them[:I]..Viki,that Marie Curie Christmas sleigh sounds lovely[:)]..xx

We have the Rotary Club Christmas sleigh. In fact I nearly hit the car pulling it a couple of days ago! I was going round a bend and it was coming towards me and I didn't think it was going to give way! I'd never have lived it down if I'd had a head on collision with Father Christmas!

You can most certainly tell it's christmas when they need traffic control INSIDE Asda aswell as outside[:D]!! We have just reluctantly been down to get some things that we forgot yesterday[}:)]and it is absolute bedlam!! You seriously cannot move, plus everyone is crashing into each other with their trolleys..and why do people stand right in the middle of an aisle to have a conversation when they can see that people are trying to get past[}:)]Oh the joys of christmas[:D][:D]!!!xx

[:D]..The silly thing is Tori that all the Shops open again on Saturday[:D]...you would think that they were shut for a week by the amount of people in our Asda earlier as well[}:)].and yes, grrr!!there were people in our aisles too having their yearly chat in the aisles[}:)].The one couple I saw had 2 trolleys loaded to the hilt[:0] and when I got to the Checkout, they were in front of me and were just paying the £279 bill[:0] with their Credit Card of course[;)]...and there was me with my basket full paying cash and it felt really good, knowing that all our bills are paid and we won't be getting a statement at the end of the month...Oh the joys of Christmas definately[:)]!!..xx

[:0]..and i bet they'll still be paying for that trolley full next year!! When we did our xmas goody shop yesterday i actually found it quite difficult to put things in the trolley that we wouldn't normally buy(i.e nice cheeses, pate & extra biccies & choccie of course[;)])and even though i knew we were paying with our copper jar savings & xmas vouchers,i've got so used to only buying what we need that i did find it hard?! But,like you say DM it's a great feeling knowing that everything is paid for[:D][:D]xx
