Hi folks ... going to have an early night with a book and a cup of cocoa. I realized today I'd not posted an evening jokette for a few days ... slap me wrist, so here is one for tonight .....
When I was younger, every night, I would go down to the off license, get a six pack, bring it home, and drink it while I watched TV. One night, as I finished my last beer, the doorbell rang. I stumbled to the door and found a six-foot cockroach standing there. The bug grabbed me by the collar and threw me across the room, glared at me and left.
The next night, after I finished my 3rd beer, the doorbell rang. I walked slowly to the door and found the same six-foot cockroach standing there. The big bug punched me in the stomach, then left.
The next night, as I finished my 1st beer, the doorbell rang again. The same six-foot cockroach was standing there. This time he kneed me in the groin and hit me behind the ear as I doubled over in pain. Then the big bug left.
The fourth night I kept off the beer and didn't drink at all. The doorbell rang. The cockroach was standing there. He beat the crap out of me and left me in a heap on the living room floor.
The following day, I went to see the doctor. I explained events of the preceding four nights.
"What can I do?" I pleaded.
"Not a lot" he doctor replied. "There's a nasty bug going around."
