Hello to you all aain - I know it's been about 3 months but I have been trying to come back to you with good news not more of my winging!!! I started my DMP on Aug 01st and with a few initial problems I am now on my way. With 5 lenders to agree this was a hard task but with the help of Brightoak I now only have 1 lender, HSBC to agree which to be honest isn't happening. I can honestly say I feel 1 million times better and although my journey is still only at the beginning I can at last look forward and save. I changed all my DD's over to my new bank (who are wonderful) and looked at all my bills and got my monthly payment reduced just by shopping around. If I could offer anyone advice I would say take the bull by the horns and do it. Yes it takes time, tears and lots of energy but god when I look back I feel physically sick with what my spending and life was like and now I look forward to a more organised life.
Go me!!!! Hope everyone is well and I am trying to look at all recent posts to get back on track. Love to you all and let me know how you all are.
Love Louby x x

Welcome back louby.
HSBC are a pain with DMP's, but just make your DMP payment to them as usual. They will eventually sell on your debt and the company they sell on to will normally accept the reduced payment.

I hope HSBC agree to it for you, although they are somewhat less than the listening bank when it comes to these things. Misers me thinks. However do not let it upset you, youre doing all you can. I am very happy to see you back on and looking ahead.
They didnt officially accept mine either but they got the payout the DMP offered none the less, they didnt take any further action apart from selling the debt on.
I am fine also, thanks for asking about all of us.
